About us
Since 2008, QUery On Inc. (QUOI) has provided support, awarded on a competitive basis, to academic researchers conducting inquiries into areas of general importance. QUOI is supported by the tax-deductible donations of its founders, is incorporated in Massachusetts and receives tax exception under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS.
QUOI’s investment strategy has evolved as it learns the best means to achieve its mission. Between 2008 and 2018, QUOI primarily funded Harvard University undergraduates to pursue self-directed research projects with the support of research advisers. Between 2015 and 2018, this program included a fellowship element where students received additional mentorship from QUOI-appointed advisers. This research resulted in a number of products, as described in the research section of this website.
Beginning in 2019, QUOI has focused investments in the area of money in politics. It remains open to reviewing other methodologically rigorous research initiatives in the social sciences on a case by case basis. Interested parties should e-mail QUOI staff at nicolas@post.harvard.edu
